Yellow Kiwomato drink

Yellow kiwi, tomato ‘n’ apple drink

Being back in England feels sooo nice and warm in my heart….ahhhhh. My sister lives in a small town close to London so now I’m checking out the food options. It’s all so different here compared to the French. Food markets everyday of the week is not very common here at all. And having big supermarkets all over the place that cater solely to organic produce is not something you’ll find easily. Nevertheless, it’s about making do with what I have without stressing about what I don’t have, right? and choosing the best I can for this temple of mine, this body with no tension, no contractions in the heart and no fussin’ ‘n’ fightin’ 🙂

So to keep the flow going and get myself some good ingredients, I went to the huge 24hrs Tesco which is like 10 mins away. That morning, they had some lovely smiley guys at the entrance enticing us to try an interesting type of kiwi, Yellow kiwi! and I was like, wow!!! gimmie gimmie gimmie! I tasted it and it was very nice too. It’s got a sweeter taste than the brother, the green kiwi. So I went inside and bought some of it and that had nothing to with the fact that they were giving away some free kiwi shopping bag with every pack of kiwi you buy, did it? 😀

the kiwi bags…made me so happy 😀

So armed with my kiwi, you know what i thought next?….yeah you’re right. Something to make with these guys. And smoothie was on my mind. This was so good that even my sister (who is not a veggie smoothie fan) actually liked it and I didn’t add any sweetener to it! It was perfecto!

To make, you’ll need:

  • 2 yellow kiwi fruits
  • 4 cherry tomatoes / tomate cerise ( if you can afford it, the organic ones are nice as they have a mild taste and slightly sweet taste to it)
  • 1 sweet gala apple / pomme (skinned and chopped)
  • 1/2 cup of rice milk / lait du riz
Put ’em all together in a blender and whizz until smooth. Sit back and admire the black seeded speckles on the glass resembling vanilla seeds and then enjoy wholeheartedly. mmwah

Chopped up and ready for smoothie 🙂
